Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies

Classic chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and a chewy center.

For the Crust:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually blend in the flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
