Chicken Tacos

Flavorful and easy-to-make chicken tacos with a blend of spices and fresh toppings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sprinkle the spice mix over it. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and shred the chicken.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 30 seconds.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing shredded chicken on each tortilla, then topping with lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, red onion, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream. Serve with lime wedges.
