Baked Pears and Cheese with Blueberries

An elegant and unique dessert with pears and mozzarella cheese baked in the oven, topped with blueberries, rosemary, and drizzled with honey for a savory and sweet treat.

  • 2 pears, cut in half
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, cut in cubes
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut pears in half and remove seeds.
  3. Dice mozzarella into ½ inch cubes.
  4. Place pears and mozzarella cheese in a heavy cast iron skillet and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle blueberries and rosemary over the top.
  6. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes until pears soften and cheese melts.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle with honey.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use a heavy cast iron skillet for best results. Fresh rosemary complements the sweetness of the pears and blueberries. Serve immediately while warm for optimal flavor.
