Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine oats, walnuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add cold butter and mix with fingers until crumbly.
Divide topping mixture evenly among pear halves, pressing gently.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until pears are tender and topping is golden brown.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or yogurt if desired.
Notes
For best results, use firm-ripe pears that will hold their shape. The crumble topping can be prepared ahead and refrigerated. Leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
