Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf

A savory dish combining the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger with the hearty satisfaction of meatloaf. Ground beef is mixed with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and spices, then baked to perfection and topped with a tangy ketchup glaze.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the diced bacon until crispy, then set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, onion, and garlic. Mix well.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing 1/4 cup ketchup with 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
  7. After 30 minutes of baking, brush the glaze over the meatloaf and continue baking for the remaining time.
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
