For the Crust:
- 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Transfer to a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, and brown sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden and the apples are tender.
